This Theatre is one of the
first stone Theatres to be built in Rome. The senate tried to stop it due
to their dislike of Greek decadence of the arts. Notice how the seating
areas are neatly divided into their classes with their own entrances.
Everything is designed to speed the crowds in and out with the minimum of
fuss.
